About Basset Home Services
In January 2005, Mike and Janet Machado started Basset Heating & Air Conditioning with a vision, a strong work ethic, and over a decade of HVAC experience — but no large team, no safety net, and no guarantees. Just the two of them, answering every call, scheduling every job, and earning trust one customer at a time. As a proud veteran-owned business, Basset was built on the values of discipline, service, and integrity — values that still drive the company today.
Over the years, the company grew steadily. Plumbing was added in 2019, duct cleaning in 2021, and electrical services in 2022. The company was formally incorporated in October 2008 as Basset Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc., and in January 2026 rebranded as Basset Home Services to reflect how much it had grown. Today, with over 30 employees and a full range of services, Basset remains a family-owned operation committed to the same principles it started with: show up, do honest work, and treat every customer like family.
