Mike and Janet Machado started with a vision, a strong work ethic, and over a decade of HVAC experience—but no big team, no safety net, and no guarantees. Just the two of them, side by side, doing whatever it took to build something of their own
They answered every call.
They scheduled every job.
They worked long days and even longer nights—earning trust one customer at a time.
As a proud veteran-owned business, Basset Heating & Air was built on the values of discipline, service, and integrity. In October 2008, that small dream became official with the incorporation of Basset Heating & Air Conditioning, Inc.—but at its core, it was still a family working hard for other families.
Year after year, the company grew—not overnight, but through persistence, sacrifice, and a commitment to doing things the right way.
In 2019, they expanded into plumbing.
In 2021, they added duct cleaning.
In 2022, electrical services followed.
Each new service wasn’t just growth—it was a promise: to be there for their customers, no matter what their homes needed.
Then in January 2026, the name changed to Basset Home Services—a reflection of how far they had come and everything they had become.
What started with just Mike and Janet has grown into a team of over 30 employees—and still growing. But even as the company expands, the heart behind it hasn’t changed.
It’s still about showing up.
Still about doing honest work.
Still about treating every customer like family.
Because to the Machados, Basset was never just a business.
