Furnace Tune Up

  • Replace standard air filter.
  • Inspect cabinet fasteners and cabinet panels.
  • Inspect electrical disconnect box.
  • Test thermostat operation.
  • Ensure proper grounding.
  • Inspect electrical connection and wires.

  • Check fan blade/blower wheel hub and clean blower compartment.

  • Inspect accessible refrigerant lines, components, and coil for leaks.
  • Inspect refrigerant line insulation.
  • Inspect electrical disconnect box.
  • If accessible, check the circuit board for hot spots and other damage.
  • Inspect condenser fan motor for loss of lubrication.
  • Clean condenser coil fan of dirt and inspect for hail damage.
  • Test reversing valve (heat pump only).
  • Confirm correct airflow using delta-treading and/or static pressure test.
  • Inspect coil fins if accessible.
  • Clean condensate drain pipe, p-trap, and drain line.
  • Test condensate pump.
  • Record superheat and sub cooling.
  • If accessible, clean evaporator coil.
